Kim supports BFI’s PRESS RESET campaign
BFI’s Disability Screen Advisory Group is made up of a diverse range of D/deaf and disabled film and television professionals. The Press Reset campaign was the result of a conversation that occurred at one of the group’s meetings when talk naturally turned to the effects of the Covid-19 crisis. It was noted that many of the negative consequences of the pandemic, for able bodied film pros, were in line with everyday issues experienced by their D/deaf and disabled peers. This led to the aim of the campaign, to inspire gatekeepers and those in positions of authority across film and TV. To challenge them to take advantage of the opportunity to reset practices with regard to including those with disabilities and establish a new, more inclusive, normal.
